Are Fruit smoothies a healthy drink to drink all the time?

It depends, do you make them, and do you know what is going into them? If you are talking Jamba then I would say no, there is so much sugar in them and the calorie intake of like an original size is like 700 or something rediculous. But if you make your own and the basics are fruit ice and milk or however you make smoothies and you aren’t adding sugar or ice cream, then I say they will be pretty darn good for you.

If they are just made out of fruit then they are healthy, but to much fruit can give yo ua belly ache. Fruit smoothies with sugar are unhealthy when eaten to much.

Fruit smoothies are like anything else,it is best to drink them in moderation. While they are nutritious,the calories can add up! I would like to suggest that maybe you make them for breakfast if you don’t have time to eat,or the fruit smoothie would make an excellent snack in the afternoon right before dinner when you are really hungry,a smoothie would help take the edge off of your hunger and it’s nutritious too!

yes… but ANY kind of tea is healthy (maybe even healthier) (Especially Green tea FRAPPS!!!) are very… flavorful.

It depends on the smoothie. Popular ones tend to have a lot of sugar added, which is not very healthy! I would tend to consider them healthier to drink than soft drinks, since at least you get some fiber and nutrients with that sugar, but water is better.
A lot of people like to think that smoothies will tend to help them lose weight… but they carefully don’t look at the nutrition statements for their favorite smoothie place to see if that’s true or not! My favorite smoothie is… ugh… 598 calories for the 32oz I usually get. I avoided looking, myself, until just now! I think I’ll cut down on smoothies.

Hmm well fruit smoothies will give you your five serving of fruit pretty easily, but they’re usually filled with sugar, both from the fruit and the added sweetening.

smoothies are healthy…and it’s fine to drink 1 a day, I usually do. As long as you make them yourself. Don’t bother getting them at Jamba Juice or Orange Julius. Yes, they have fresh fruit, but you don’t want to know how many calories they have. Using fresh fruit has antioxidants and yogurt is a good source of calcium. If you don’t want to use regular yogurt, use non-fat frozen yogurt- not ice cream. There are so many possibilites you could make and besides, it’s a tasty way to get your fruit.
