I took a personal finance class about 3 semesters ago and the book was called, Street Smarts, Book Smarts. It was the best academic book I've read because the author threw in personal stories but also has a lot of useful information in it. It also comes with a workbook to help you with the Time Value of Money.

It would help to know what you mean by "college level." If you mean academically written, then no. If you mean simply maturely written, with sound info, there are several:

All Your Worth by Elizabeth Warren

Your Money Rules for Financial Freedom by Michael J Laurence (few chapters all should read, but then it's primarily a reference book)

The Nine Steps to Financial Freedom Suze Orman

The Road to Wealth Suze Orman

The Laws of Money, the Lessons of Life by Suze Orman

I don't think you'd go wrong with any of those.
