Can I get wired internet connection for my ps3 without connecting anything to the computer?

Can I just plug a linksys router to the back of my PS3 without pluging anything into my computer and get wired internet connection? My computer is in a different room that is far away from the PS3. I currently have wireless and the performance is not good.

yes you should as long as you have an ethernet cable

You can give it a try. Currently I have a modem that I use to connect to my PS3. I just unplug the Ethernet connected to my computer and put it into my PS3 and it works fine.

you have to buy ethernet wire and some little box called rutter

your not supose to plug it to comuter .
Just plug the ethernet from router to ps3
if the router is wireless u dont need to plug anything
