He knew before he invested that the company owner Tracy Graily was bad news, as she demanded a wage of £70,000 just to accept the investment. She said she could not live on less. Well she is now bankrupt.

I’ve only started watching Dragons Den on BBCA but I really like Doug. The editing and other dragons tend to portray him as too harsh or critical, but I think he is one of the more honest and straightforward of the dragons. Even when he’s tearing down an idea, he seems to separate the idea from the individual, which is something a lot of entrepreneurs have a hard time doing themselves.
