How can I connect a hard drive through my PS3 to watch movies?

go buy a Western Digital 500gb external hard drive (it’s already formatted for PS3), hook it up to computer, label new folders in all capital letters: VIDEO, MUSIC, PICTURE, etc. then put movie into VIDEO folder, plug into PS3 via usb cord and enjoy. (mine ran for about 90 bucks at best buy)
