How do I clean the lazer on the older bigger version of a ps2?

There are some cd’s that are made specifically for that. They have little brushes on them. The cheapest and most effective way to clean a PS2 laser is:
VERY CAREFULLY
get a Q-tip
Gently clean the laser with it.
OR
Get a Q-tip
Gently wet it.. not SOAK it.
Gently rub the laser then use the other dry side of the Q-tip to dry it up. REMEMBER BE VERY CAREFUL AND GENTLE WITH THE LASER DO NOT PRESS DOWN HARD ON THE LASER IT IS VERY SENSITIVE and do it with the ps2 off because if u do it on u might mess up the laser and the laser releases little radioactive rays to read the disc and u dont wanna mess with that now do u?

But unfortunately you have to open up the PS2, and it will void the warranty.
