I don’t buy the food at my house, my family does for me. I’m always telling them that we need to eat healthy, but all they buy is junk. I even make a seprate list for food I want, but they never listen. I wish my family wern’t such junk food junkies!

Offer to go with whoever shops for your family. Thats the only way I get my mom to buy the stuff I want. Its harder to ignore you when you are right there nagging and if you are into healthier stuff than they are, its also harder for them to turn you down.

People (even family) don’t do things because you ask them or it makes logical sense. You have to tell people what is in it for them. e.g. In this situation let’s assume your mom buys the food. You could explain that buy making a few modification to the grocery list that she could save X amount of dollars or lose 10 pounds, or have to go grocery shopping less often, etc…

I have the same problem!!! Its so frustrating, I ask for fruit, they buy chips UGH!!!!
