Sharpie asked:

I am at a critical point in my career with a decision to make. Currently I can make alot of money very easily but I wonder what type of changes/problems can happen if I start to travel? I would be traveling multiple times a month. Anyone with experience in this area? If you could go back and make changes would you still have persued money or have taken a lesser paying career but would have been home every night?

When I was younger, my dad was away usually 4 or 5 days out of the week because he had to travel for work. We were way better off financially because of it so I respect his descision. There are many things I wouldn’t have been able to do without him taking that job. BUT… the relationship between my dad and my siblings and I was not anything close. Now that we are older we have time for eachother.. but I always wish he was around more when I was young, I missed him! I say, if you have kids, to be gone most of the time, it’s a bad idea
