BeeJay asked:
We would like a shed for our yard, probably around 8′ x 10′. We’re looking at the prefab ones from Home Depot, but are wondering if we can afford to have a carpenter build us one that is higher quality. I know there are a lot of variables to consider, but what is a ballpark figure for something like this?

I’d go with the Home Depot one’s. Having one built from scratch is going to run you big bucks. If you want it to last a while put it on a concrete slab not just blocks.
BTW: 8×10 isn’t small.

I don’t know what your ability level is, but it wouldn’t be too hard to do it yourself.
