My friends always asked me why I called Mulan a Disney Princess.
I call her one because she actually WORKED for what she got. No one had to save her, put a glass slipper on her foot or kiss her because she was asleep.
@pokehater99 I thought she married Shang? and Shang is just a general, so technically that’s not royalty? She almost marries a prince, but ends up not doing so? Haven’t watched the second movie in a long time, so I don’t remember.
it’s funny, when i watched this as a little girl i was so glad america wasn’t sexist like china. i thought they must be really fucked up to discriminate against women. then in high school i tried to join the infantry. we still need messages like the one in this movie. this hannah montana garbage disney puts out now does nothing but teaches kids to be fame whores. disney classics actually promoted good values.

Ariel was curious about humans and don’t tell me a lot of people don’t follow their heart like she did. Jasmine was another cool princess, as was Aurora. It’s kinda ridiculous I’m talking about princesses when I’m 17 lol But other then that there’s nothing wrong with the others. But Mulan is a top fav.
