There is a knocking from my LG refrigerator recently, can anyone help?

I have an LG refrigerator model number LRSC26940SB for a couple of years now. Recently, there has been a knocking (approximately 8 of them, evenly paced) that occurs every 15 minutes or so.. It has to be some sort of mechanical failure or reset or “change the something” indicator, can someone help me?
