I just don’t have the lump sum to pay them all at once and there was no escrows on my property. What is the latest that I can pay my property taxes without facing a serious penalty?

once you pay your property taxes late you will be subject to interest/penalties. try not to wait too long.

You’ll have to ask your Tax Collector. Here in MO, taxes are late on January 1st. Penalties accrue immediately and there’s no way around the first day’s penalty since the collector’s office is closed.
There are usually penalties and interest on unpaid property taxes but the amount varies from one jurisdiction to the next.

in my town if you do not pay in full you pay penalties…if you pay by check there is a box on the return asking if it’s a full or partial payment..our taxes the first day they are late you start paying the late fee…it’s 1.5 % 1-30 days late,2% 30-60 days and so on.not sure how many days the total goes up
