SpiderBear asked:
what should i buy with my summer job money?
about $200-$300 is going twords school clothes for next year [including hair die, etc, everything i may or may not need for next school year] give or take $50.
should i get a Wii, DS, or an iPod?
originally i wanted a Wii and i hear the price is going down to $200 from $250 this summer and i absolutly LOVE nitendo games. however, i hear a DS is good too but its prolly number 3 out of the three…sorta like the default if the other two fail. but an iPod is cool too cause i like alot of music.
im leaning more on the Wii simply cause my ps2 is begining to put me to sleep lol.
idk, the games avaible for the ps2 now in days arnt my type of games. which is why the Wii is good for me. but then again i really like music.
im just gonna stop rambeling on about it and just get to the point,
1)what do u think i should do?
2)arnt the Wii and iPod about the same price?
and any other information would be great

OKay …i would save just a little bit of it …so you have .extra…buy a wii…..There great ..and you want to listen to music …get a SD card and u can listen to some music on the wii and also ….u can dowload games from about 5 old school systems …Like Nintendo 64,SNES,NES,and sega…and the price is not gonna lower …its already low enough ….but one thing i can tell u ..is there will be differnt colors and maybe a dvd drive will be included in it….good luck …and a ipod is kinda a waste and the DS is great…..good luck ..get a wii…there great

To answer your question, it really depends on what you think you will get more use out of. I have a DS, Video Ipod and a Wii and I would say that I get the most use of my Ipod. I use it going to and from work, I used it all the time between classes and I hooked it up to my car stereo as well whenever I had to drive. If you don’t plan to listen to much music though, I recommmend the Wii, it’s an incredibly fun game system, but you will probably have to shell out close to $500 if you want to get the most out of it. This is because 3 more wiimotes (controllers) and 3 more nunchucks (controller attachment that hold the analog stick) + games will cost you quite a bit. By the way, I can guarentee you that the Wii will not go down in price this summer as the demand is still very high and Nintendo’s price is far lower than the other two systems available. Nintendo will not lower their price for at least 2 more years when their technology gets cheaper and they can still make a profit when selling their system. I hope this helps and if you have any other questions, please feel free to email me.

you shuod get a wii because they are very fun and ipods are boring because you could only hear music with them and thats kind of dum and ds is is small and has lame graphics

You should get the wii because it is fun and you stay active. Don’t get an ipod inless it is a video i pod because after a while listening to music is boring. Another reason you should get a wii is because you can play gamecube games. Nintendo DS is awsome too. Believe me, because i have all of them.

If you want something fun to play with on the go, a DS is definitely the way to go; however, Wii is a really good system to enjoy many games with…I couldn’t decide when I was getting them, so I got both of them…lol. But seriously, I think Wii is the way to go between these two.
But if you really want an iPod, I would advise you to wait! Since the iPhone is coming out with Cingular (sometime in June, I heard). With the iPhone you get the iPod and a phone (I so don’t work for Apple or Cingular, I just think it’s cool) and there is also the cool touch screen and internet capability.
So do you get the iPhone or Wii is really up to what you want…
Hope you find this usefull…

My friend recently got a Wii, so I am familiar with playing it. In the beginning, it was pretty cool. With Wii sports you can play bowling, boxing, golf, tennis, and baseball. However, after the first hour, the only game worth playing are really bowling and tennis. We than rented a different game and the interface was very difficult the figure out, so we just returned it. Since there are no games out for the Wii right now, it’s really boring: it just sits in the corner while we play halo 2. However, the Wii is suppose to come out with Mario Party 8 and Super Smash Brothers which he is excited to get, but I’m not sure what they would use for controllers. The bottom line for the Wii is that it is a very different game style, but like all game systems it takes a little time to warm up and have fun with. However, I’m especially trying to warm up to the Wii. My suggestion is to try out playing it before you buy it. Take a look at the games and see if you’ll like any of them. The systems is a little more expensive than you listed. The controllers are around 40 dollars, games are around 60 dollars. So eventually you’re looking for something costing way above an iPod. I’m sure you are familiar with iPods. The are expensive, but it is surprising how much I use them. I use them when I do homework. I can download movies and take them with me. So the next big car ride, or plane ride, I can watch a movie. I think that the iPod will be a better investment than the Wii. I believe they are about the same price though, but with the iPod there are no controllers or games to purchase. So in the end, the iPod will be cheaper. My little nephews play the DS a lot, but I don’t see a lot of older people playing them. The choice is yours however. Out of the three, the iPod will be the cheapest in the end, Wii will be the most expensive (and there are not a lot of interesting games, and it is hard to get used to). If I were you I would purchase an iPod.

definatly the wii.. the ipod will go out of style and you can buy cheaper mp3 players that look like the ipod for a waaaaaaaaaaay lower price.
