best place i would recommend, would be any casino within your area..or maybe there is a poker club or something like that in your area that has meetings you could try that out as well…i would also suggest getting together with some friends and playing home games, either a cash game or tournament style. but since your looking for tournaments, the casinos would be a good place to start, considering a lot of casinos hold daily poker tournaments.

Depends on what state ya live in. Here in Oh. we have “Benefit Tournaments” for a charity. Most are held at VFW or similar hall. Ask around. p.s. I LOVE THAT GAME!

If you do not have any Card rooms near by, Charity poker events are sure to be around. Try googling hold em (your city here).
